Teleworking is a cutting-edge labor model that offers several advantages over traditional work. In this context, implementing such a work model would greatly benefit the Decentralized Administrative Operation Body (OOAD, in Spanish) of the State of Zacatecas of the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS, in Spanish). Therefore, the research aimed to identify the labor profile of workers to assess the feasibility of transitioning from traditional activities to telework. An exhaustive analysis of the most recent research related to this topic, both internationally and nationally, was conducted. A survey was carried out that generated responses from 303 employees across various hierarchical levels, management, and types of hiring, which exceeds the estimated sample size. The results were processed using the IBM SPSS Statistics 25 program, demonstrating that implementing telecommuting in the IMSS Zacatecas State OOAD would lead to significant innovation in work activities. The evaluation process determined that the current working conditions allow for a transition to a new work model. Clear guidelines were established regarding the activities that can be carried out remotely and those that require physical presence.
